100 Blocks!

Welcome to the Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks blog tour.  I was so excited to find out that my block was appearing in Volumne 6 of the 100 Blocks magazine!
What could be better than getting into 100 Blocks?  How about making the cover!  Take a second look at the cover and you will see my block.  I'm over the moon!
Elephante features a cute little elephant standing on a patchwork hill. The patchwork hill is easier than you would think.  First you piece all of your green patches, then using the pattern, you cut it to size and applique it on.
By flipping the block, you can have a whole row of Elephantes! In fact, I might just be planning a whole quilt based on this block.  More to come about that...
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, look what I found at the Quiltmaker booth during Market. Sooo over the moon!

Volume 6 is chalk full of great patterns made by wonderful designers.  The variety of patterns including paper piecing, applique and regular piecing just amazes me.  Would you like a free copy?  Just leave a comment and one lucky winner will receive a free copy.
